Accessibility Statement

1. Standard we follow

We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines are the international reference for making web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning and neurological disabilities.

2. What we have done

Concrete measures built into this site:

• Semantic structure. Proper landmarks and a logical heading order, so screen readers can navigate the page by section.
• Keyboard operability. Every interactive element — links, buttons, the menu, the FAQ, all form fields — can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
• Visible focus. A clear, high-contrast focus outline shows where you are on the page at all times.
• Color contrast. Text and interface colors were chosen to meet Level AA contrast ratios against our dark background.
• Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology so they do not create noise.
• Labeled forms. Every field has a real, programmatically associated label, and required fields are marked in text, not by color alone.
• Live status messages. Form results are announced to screen readers through a polite live region.
• Reduced motion. If your system requests reduced motion, animations are disabled and the hero video does not play.
• Touch targets. Interactive controls are at least 44 by 44 pixels with adequate spacing.
• Responsive and zoomable. The layout works from 360 pixels upward and supports zooming and text resizing without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
• No motion-only meaning. The background video is decorative, silent, and carries no information you would lose without it.

3. Current status

We consider this site partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the content meets the standard, but we have not completed a formal third-party audit, so we cannot yet claim full conformance in good conscience.

Our assessment is based on internal review and self-evaluation as of the date above. We re-check accessibility whenever we make significant changes to the site.

4. Known limitations

We would rather name these than pretend they do not exist:

• No formal third-party audit. Our evaluation is internal. An independent audit may surface issues we have missed.
• Third-party typefaces. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. If that service is slow or blocked, text falls back to a system font — content stays fully readable, but the visual design changes.
• Decorative video. The hero background video has no captions because it is silent, decorative, and conveys no information. It is disabled entirely on mobile devices and when reduced motion is requested.

5. Technology it relies on

Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript working together with your browser and any assistive technology you use. The site is built to remain readable and usable with JavaScript disabled, though some enhancements — the mobile menu and the FAQ expansion — require it.

We test with current versions of major browsers and their built-in accessibility tools.

6. Give us feedback

We treat accessibility problems as bugs, not suggestions. If you hit a barrier on this site, email contact@kingshopia.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line and, if you can, tell us:

• The page or section where it happened
• What you were trying to do
• The browser, device and any assistive technology you were using

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and to resolve confirmed issues as quickly as we reasonably can. You do not need to explain why you need it fixed.
